Dr. Wang received his PhD from Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of California San Diego, CA, USA in 2015. He joined nGoggle as a Researcher to continue his research in the steady-state visual evoked potential-based Brain-Computer Interface system in 2015. His role was to design and implement a portable Glaucoma detection system for continuous monitoring at home. In 2017, he joined Meta (Facebook) as a Research Analyst focusing on the brain-typing project using covert visual stimuli and hand gestures for users to interact with AR/VR devices. In 2019, he joined Alto Neuroscience to develop automatic signal processing pipelines, and to model the treatment outcomes for patients who are suffering from depression-related diseases. In 2021, he joined Microsoft Research (Redmond, WA, USA) where he was working on the real-world brain-computer interface applications in AR, VR, and MR devices. Dr. Wang joined Research Center for Information Technology Innovation, Academia Sinica in 2023.
