Chiu-Han Hsiao has been involved in diverse projects at Academia Sinica, all under the broad scope of applying Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) to multidisciplinary research. His areas of focus include:
- Next-Generation Mobile Communication Network Management and Optimization: This area integrates cloud computing, information security, confidential computing, and the Internet of Things (IoT) to enhance resource management.
- Bioinformatics-Based AI: This field has gained significant traction through collaborative research with prestigious institutions like National Taiwan University Hospital, Taipei Veterans General Hospital, National Taiwan University, and National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University. Projects here utilize machine learning, deep learning, and other biological science technologies to address unmet needs, transforming biological data into valuable information and knowledge.
- Emerging Technologies and Applications: Developing new technologies and applications from government projects, this domain covers data security, Industry 4.0, agriculture, and data center energy management.
These experiences have deepened his interest in linking practical challenges to system design, analysis, and application solutions. His recent focus is on two main areas: bioinformatics-based AI, and resource management and optimization in multidisciplinary projects. |
